About Juan Somma
Background
Graduated From The University of The Fraser Valley in British Columbia on a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with extended minors in Graphic Design and Theatre in 2020, Juan Somma is an Actor, Author, Instructor, Creator and Illustrator.
I have worked as an instructor in the art, animation and design field for more than a decade, teaching students creative ways to express themselves. My experience include teaching subjects such as History of animation, Acting for Animators, Creative drawing, Storytelling, Live drawing, Illustration and I have taught students on languages such as English and Japanese for many years in my home country, Uruguay.
I reside in British Columbia, Canada since 2017 where I completed the Vancouver Film School intensive Acting for Film and Television program.
Interests
My hobbies include many activities. I love cinema, theatre, rollerblading, TTRPG's, comic books, Video games. I love technology and gadgets. I am interested in languages and culture. I like animals and pets. Enjoy meeting people and learning about new things and cultures.
Some of My Skills
I am skilled in Adobe Creative suite applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, and Autodesk software like Maya, Mudbox, 3DsMax, Tinkercad and Sketchbook. Fluent in Google Workspace environment and its tools. I have experience working with web based tools such as Canva. I speak fluent English, native Spanish and intermediate Japanese.
